Les Jardins des Douars(MA)

At the Les Jardins des Douars hotel in Morocco, our TadelaktPro coating was selected for a vast 6,000 m² project. Preferred to traditional Moroccan tadelakt, TadelaktPro was chosen for its ease of application and time efficiency. While traditional tadelakt may require a room to be closed for one to two months, our coating allows a room to be reopened in just one to two weeks, considerably reducing the loss of income for the luxury hotel.
With effects identical to oriental tadelakt, a silky, warm and sensual feel, and a waterproof finish, TadelaktPro was able to meet the aesthetic and practical requirements of the project, creating elegant and timeless spaces.

The decision to work with TadelaktPro instead of traditional Tadelakt was driven by several key factors, as highlighted by the owner of Les Jardins des Douars:

• Drying Time: TadelaktPro dries in just a few days, compared to the 2 to 3 months required for traditional Tadelakt. This was a crucial consideration for them as a hotel, as the financial loss from having to close rooms for such an extended drying period would have been substantial.
• Color Range: ClayLime offers a wide palette with contemporary, natural tones, which is not the case with traditional Tadelakt.
• Color Precision: With traditional Tadelakt, the final color after drying can be unpredictable. In contrast, TadelaktPro provides much more consistency in color (as long as a consistent pigment dosage between 10% and 15% is maintained).
• Maintenance and Touch-Ups: Due to the unpredictability of colors in traditional Tadelakt, maintenance touch-ups are nearly impossible. With TadelaktPro, achieving a good result is easier, although it’s still advisable to redo an entire wall section for the best outcome, as simply repairing a small area in the middle of a wall can be quite noticeable.
